Join HOLDTIGHT Company for a sneak peak inside the creative rehearsal process for their newest work, together : un/tethered. Included will be time for an open dialogue with Director Gwendolyn Gussman, and the collaborating cast of artists. HOLDTIGHT’s latest climate-focused immersive dance-theater work will premiere from April 4-6th at Studio Loft at Ellie Caulkins Opera House at The Denver Performing Arts Complex. This creative residency and performances are supported by Denver Arts & Venues.

HOLDTIGHT company presents Process + Express Community Workshops in development around their latest immersive dance-theater work, together : un/tethered. Incorporating physical movement, meditation, prompted writing, and open dialogue, participants delve into questions surrounding the beliefs that hold us back from change, our wishes for the future, and how all of this relates to our balance & relationship with the earth. In this free, all-levels/all-bodies workshop, participants will find openings for exciting and fulfilling ways to discover creative material from their personal, lived experiences and receive glimmers of how that fits into our greater, collective world.

Natural Dye Party with HOLDTIGHT & Maki Teshima
HOLDTIGHT & collaborating artist, Maki Teshima, are hosting a Community Natural Dye Party to help HT prepare for our upcoming performance season! Join us on Saturday, March 2nd from 11-4pm at the Champa Studio at The Arts Complex in downtown Denver, for a food-waste & flower scrap Dye Party (plus rope weaving). Come for an hour or stay all day, and let’s dye together! All participants will go home with a unique hand-dyed piece, plus we will provide light snacks and drinks donated by Spinelli’s Market.
Over the course of the day we will show you how to dye and weave materials, working with our hands in preparation for HT’s upcoming performance premiere of together : un/tethered. This new piece will premiere April 4-6th at The Studio Loft at Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Arts Complex with support by Denver Arts & Venues. Maki is a core creative collaborator on un/tethered and the performance incorporates Maki’s natural dye scenography.
Experience a taste of natural dyeing, rope weaving, and a fun afternoon with the HOLDTIGHT community!
All proceeds go directly towards supporting the premiere of together : un/tethered. Limited tickets available. $10/ticket

in collaboration with Chef Arianna Shaljian. Spend an evening with us enjoying a beautiful, 5-course seasonal meal seeded with intentional conversation, & a special musical performance by a HOLDTIGHT collaborator.

Ticket includes: 5-course seasonal meal, welcome drink (N/A version will be available), table wine, a short musical performance by a current HOLDTIGHT collaborator, and impeccable times with new & old friends.
This evening serves as a nod to HOLDTIGHT Company's Nourishment beginnings where we incorporated food with performance experiences to tantalize all five-senses through unique happenings. While this is more of a fall soiree (and a full meal!), HOLDTIGHT is thrilled to share this new collaboration with the amazing Chef Arianna, who has been putting on regular "Family Meals" to bring people together under the guise of a dinner.
Recipes are inspired by old family dishes, precious ingredients, and new culinary ideas. We want to make you feel like family, bonding over the experience of new and old dishes, passing the bread, musical interludes, food for thought, + sitting together on a autumnal night.
